The Ark Pope Memorial Animal Shelter

The Ark Pope Memorial Animal Shelter is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), no-kill animal shelter located in Cherryfield, Maine. Since 1984, we have been dedicated to caring for homeless, unwanted, and displaced animals while helping connect them with safe, loving homes.

In addition to adoption services, we work to reduce pet overpopulation through low-cost spay and neuter programs and support the wellbeing of animals in our community through outreach and education. The Ark only euthanizes in cases involving serious medical or behavioral concerns.
